The Chelys Lyre VST meticulously captures the Lyre's unique tone. To make the virtual sound experience as close as possible to that of a real instrument, we have divided the keyboard into various sections to be played simultaneously.

Ancient Roman Pneumatic Organ - Detailed Features

This virtual instrument brings one of the first organs in history into modern productions. Based on a historical reconstruction of the Aquincum Organ, the ancient experimentally meets the modern to give new life and make us savor the sounds lost over time.

Historical Context:

Provenance: Sampled sounds come from the reconstruction of the bellows organ built in the 1930s by Pécs Angster Organ Factory for the Aquincum Museum in Budapest, donated by the Aquincum Museum to the Museum of Roman Civilization.
Original Design: This reconstruction was carried out following precise measurements of the archaeological remains of an organ (probably hydraulic) dating back to 228 AD, found in the ancient Roman city of Aquincum.
